Jack Turned 1. Say What!?

This perfect little boy turned one on June 27th! It is amazing to see how much he learns and grows every single day! It is unreal how much Dan and I love him.

We love sneaking into his room while he is asleep and seeing how cute he is. Usually if only one of us goes in, we have to go get the other because it is too cute to not look.

Dan and I look like absolute fools when we try to show each other the face Jack made that the other person missed.

We forget what life was like before him.

It is so fun seeing his little personality come out the older he gets. He cracks us up every day! He clearly has bad days as well, but the good days are just too good that we forget about those bad ones.

At age 1 he:
-   Walks
-   Loves to laugh
-   Makes dinosaur noises
-   Still working on growing his hair
-   Knows baby sign language (more, all done, please, thank you)
-   LOVES sitting on our laps reading books. Dan and I quote a line from one of his books and he will go find the book that we are quoting.
-   Loves eating. A lot. Especially eggs!
-   Loves his milk
-   Is obsessed with his blankie and teddy bear
-   Loves to Face time family and friends
-   Loves holding up a phone to his ear and pretending like he is talking
-   Loves playing with his blocks
-   Loves going to the splash pad
-   Loves swimming and just being in water!
-   Didn’t love the birthday cake that I so lovingly made

We also got a nice camera before Jack was born (it actually came in the mail while I was in labor, so of course Dan had to run home and grab it) this past year we always just used it on “auto”, but I decided that I wanted to learn how to use manual. I took his “1 year” pictures. We even used a tripod and took our own family pictures. Hilarious. I have A LOT to work on, but it is a fun hobby to mess around with!
