BYU Grad!

Last June Dan graduated from BYU and walked in August! Yahoo!!!

After a lot of hard work and dedication he graduated with a major in exercise science and a minor in business. It was such a fun day seeing him walk.

My awesome uncle and cousins came to support!

Way to go Danny!!!

Baby Jack's blessing day

Jack was blessed on July 15th. Which was just two and a half short weeks after he was born. Dan’s family was in town and we wanted to do it while they were there.

It was such an amazing day hearing Dan give our baby boy his blessing. I feel so blessed to have such a sweet baby boy and an amazing husband!

It was so fun Dan’s family was able to be there and that some of my family was there too.

Jack clearly didn’t fit into his blessing outfit because I was planning on doing it later, but we improvised and at least he was wearing clothes! Ha. and lucky me, I got to have tons of pictures taken two weeks after I gave birth! Haha! A girls dream! Not.

Good Morning Baltimore!

When my parents got their mission call they were planning on telling the whole family together, but Dan and I were heading to California that day so they came to our apartment in Provo so they could tell us in person. I was excited for them, but sad for me. They told me they were leaving July 1st, which was 8 days after my due date. I was so sad they wouldn’t be there for very long after I had our little guy. Come to find out they were actually leaving ON my due date to go to the MTC. They had known all along, but thought they would wait to tell me that part until it got closer. I found out by overhearing my dad tell Dan. I knew I had to have my baby before my due date!

I prayed every night that I would have him in time for my parents to meet him. I assumed for some reason that I would have him a few weeks early, come to find out I was very wrong. But the Lord was so mindful of us once again. My parents finished at the MTC on June 27th. My Mom and Dad got permission for my Mom to leave the MTC a day early so she could be there when Jack entered the world. My dad stayed the entire time at the MTC and got to the hospital around 5:30 p.m. and I had Jack at 6:22. Talk about perfect timing. They were able to spend an entire day with us before they left early on the 29th.
It was so hard to see my sweet little sister, hilarious little brother, and my amazing parents leave that morning. My mom kept saying to me, “You are not going to want us to come home. You are going to see so many blessings pour down on you that you are going to tell us to stay and not come home.” Haha There is my mom for ya!

And sure enough, she was right! We have been so blessed even more so since they left. Yes, it has been hard. I am a total mommy’s girl. But it has been so good for our little family to be on our own and to grow even closer.
About a month after Jack was born I was in desperate need for some mom/dad/daughter time. My mom happened to call on a morning I was having a hard time and said they were going to fly me and Jack out to see them. I could not have been happier!

So off to Baltimore we went! Flying on my own with a newborn was hilarious, but totally worth it. We left the last week of September and stayed a week and a half, then flew straight to Texas.

Jack and I had a total blast with my family! It was a fun and busy week and a half! It is CRAZY how busy my parents are. It was so fun meeting their amazing missionaries!
